BIGGER GOVERNMENT.
LESS ACCOUNTABILITY.

MORE RISK.

CONSOLIDATION MEANS:

More county bureaucracy — expanded payroll, layers of management, no guarantee of savings

Local tax dollars redirected to cover shortfalls elsewhere in the county

Greater risk to response times and service quality when every second matters

PROTECT LOCAL CONTROL.

STOP THE TAKEOVER.

THIS IS A SOLUTION IN SEARCH OF A PROBLEM

An overwhelming majority of voters believe consolidation should require approval by voters in affected districts, not a County Council-only vote.

VOTERS SHOULD DECIDE - NOT COUNTY COUNCIL ALONE

Most voters believe local fire districts are already working well. This proposal creates risk without proven benefit.
